📔 Competition Brief

The Sony World Photography Awards is the leading competition for photographers and artists working in photography. Made up of four competitions (Professional, Open, Student and Youth), all entries are free and the top prize is $25,000. The Awards is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious photography competitions by elevating photographers’ careers – from established to emerging – since it started 16 years ago.

There are four main competitions and (Note!) each of them has a different deadline:

Professional: 13 January 2023
- 10 categories, judged upon a body of work (5-10 images).
- Professional Architectural Photographers can submit their entries in the "Architecture & Design" category.
Open: 6 January 2023
- Best single images across 10 categories.
- This category is open to anyone. The "Architecture" category will be of particular interest to you if you love architectural photography.

🏆 Prizes

As well as offering an unparalleled opportunity for exposure for photographers at all stages of their career, the Awards offers $30,000 in cash prizes plus the latest Sony digital imaging equipment. The top prize is $25,000.

🦸‍♂️ Jury

The images are judged by the World Photography Organisation and a specially selected jury from the World Photographic Academy which is made up of the photographic industry’s most esteemed individuals.
